Our Services
People engage in counselling in different ways, and no single format suits everyone. The way you feel most comfortable communicating, whether that’s talking, walking, or writing, can have a meaningful impact on your experience. The following outlines the different session options available, along with their potential benefits and considerations, to help you make an informed choice.
I work with women and femme-identifying clients, offering a space designed to feel safe, supportive, and understanding of women’s experiences.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Initial Consultation: $150.00 | Standard Appointment: $120.00
Walk and talk therapy is a more relaxed approach where we walk side-by-side in an outdoor setting while we talk. It can feel less formal than sitting in front of a screen, and may be a good fit if you find movement or being in nature helps you feel more at ease.
Benefits:
Walking side-by-side, rather than sitting face-to-face, can feel more relaxed and natural. For some people, this takes away some of the pressure and makes conversation flow more easily.
Gentle movement can help your body settle, which may reduce feelings of stress or overwhelm and make it easier to talk things through. It also releases those feel good chemicals…endorphins!
Being outdoors and surrounded by nature can feel calming and grounding, helping you to clear your mind and reflect more openly.
It can be especially helpful if you find it easier to open up while doing something, rather than sitting still in a more traditional setting.
Telehealth (Online) Therapy
Initial Consultation: $150.00 | Standard Appointment: $120.00
Telehealth therapy involves connecting through a secure video platform, giving you the flexibility to engage in support from a space that feels safe and familiar.
Benefits:
Telehealth makes counselling more accessible and convenient. There’s no need to travel, which can make it easier to attend sessions regularly and fit them into your routine.
Being in your own space can help you feel more at ease. When you’re comfortable in your environment, it can feel easier to open up and talk about what’s going on.
Video sessions still offer that face-to-face connection, which can help build a strong sense of trust and understanding, while giving you the flexibility of being at home.
This option can be especially helpful if you have a busy schedule, caring responsibilities, or find it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Webchat Therapy
Initial Consultation: $115.00 | Standard Appointment: $90.00
For many individuals, engaging in traditional face-to-face therapy can feel intimidating and may heighten anxiety. Providing accessible alternatives, such as webchat counselling, can offer a more comfortable entry point, reinforcing the belief that some support is often more beneficial than none.
Benefits:
For many people, typing can feel less confronting than speaking. If you feel anxious about being heard or struggle to say things out loud, this can be a more comfortable way to communicate.
It’s a flexible and accessible option that can fit into your day more easily. As long as you have a device and some privacy, you can access support from a space that feels safe to you.
It provides time to think. You don’t have to respond straight away, which means you can reflect, process, and put your thoughts into words at your own pace.
Writing things down can create a bit of space between you and what you’re feeling, which can make it easier to open up, especially when things feel personal, sensitive, or hard to say out loud.
